Before we can assess your case, we need to understand your medical situation. This checklist covers what to prepare — by specialty — so your case review can begin as quickly and accurately as possible.
Privacy note: Records you share with BeijingMedAccess are used solely for pathway assessment and coordination. They are not shared with hospitals or specialists without your confirmation. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
You do not need every document on this list before you can start. The free eligibility call requires no records — just a summary of your situation. For the $199 case review, we need enough records to provide a meaningful pathway assessment. For hospital coordination, a more complete set is required.
Start with what you have. We will tell you if anything critical is missing and how to obtain it.
Not sure what records you have? In the US, patients have the legal right to request copies of all their medical records. Your healthcare provider must provide them within 30 days. You can also request records via your patient portal (MyChart, Epic, etc.) in many cases.
For leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, solid tumour second opinions, and CAR-T eligibility
Important: Cancer cases are not suitable for overseas review if you are in an acute phase, have active uncontrolled infection, are ICU-dependent, or if overseas review would delay urgently needed local treatment. Do not delay local care while seeking overseas review.
For knee replacement, hip replacement, spine second opinions, and sports injuries
For cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and retinal condition review
For full-body checkups, cardiac screening, and cancer marker panels
For All-on-4, All-on-6, dental implants, and full-mouth restoration planning
Note on bisphosphonates: Patients taking bisphosphonates for osteoporosis or cancer-related bone conditions have a risk of medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) with invasive dental procedures. This must be disclosed and assessed before any implant surgery.
For paediatric consultations, fertility assessment, OB/GYN, and maternity planning
PDF scans of paper reports. Digital images of imaging results (JPEG, PNG). DICOM files for CT, MRI, or PET scans (on CD or via secure transfer). Photos of documents are acceptable for initial review — cleaner scans are preferred for formal case submission.
English preferred. We can work with documents in Chinese, Spanish, and some other languages for initial review. For formal case submission to Beijing hospitals, English or Chinese records are required. We can arrange certified translation where needed.
For CT, MRI, or PET scans, the DICOM files (not just the radiology report) are often needed by Beijing specialists for proper review. These are usually on a CD from the imaging centre. If you don't have them, request them from the facility that performed the scan.
Submit records via the contact form on this site, or send directly via WhatsApp or email after your free eligibility call. Records are handled under our Privacy Policy and are not shared with hospitals without your confirmation.
Don't have everything yet? That's fine. Start with the free eligibility call — you don't need records for that. After the call, we'll tell you exactly which documents are critical for your specific case and how to request them if you don't already have them.
Book a free eligibility call. No records needed to start. We'll discuss your situation and tell you what to gather next.
